Born and raised in Southern California, Amanda Peacock began her career in photography working for Gary Fong (Creator of the Lightsphere Flash Attachments) at his studio in Los Angeles.
She began shooting weddings with Gary with a Hasselblad medium format camera, Metz flash, and a large battery pack hung over her shoulder!
After working for several L.A. photographers shooting predominantly weddings and special events, she moved to Ventura, California in 1998.
After her son was born, she returned to photography, but with a different focus; live music.

Always having had a love of music and a passion for photography, so this was the perfect fit.
Starting out at the Ventura Theater (the only venue in Ventura for larger shows at the time) she was one of two house photographers who "interned" for more than two years with the intention of developing a portfolio.
She then began shooting/writing reviews for the Ojai and Ventura Voice to gain access to larger venues.

Amanda is currently shooting for, 805 Living Magazine, Alternative Press Magazine, The Ventura Hillsides Conservancy, The Ventura County Fairgrounds and for local newspapers/magazines. Her images have also been published in national magazines and newspapers, on CD covers and inserts, in printed promotional materials, on event posters, and on the Web.

She also continues to photograph families, children, Weddings and life events, head shots for print or web, sports, and various charity events.
